If paradise means eye-catching views, swaying palms, a sub-tropical climate all year and lying on a sun lounge while the kids build sandcastles almost beside you, you'll find it here, right on your doorstep.

Load the picnic gear into a hired BBQ pontoon boat from the resort's own jetty, or take the townhouse's two kayaks out for a paddle on the river. If fishing is more your speed, pull the tinnie up on the foreshore and tie it to the mooring ring on the boardwalk in front of the townhouse while you pack the bait and tackle for a day out.

The L-shaped kitchen has the latest Miele appliances, so it suits sundowners, alfresco lunches and dinner with friends. You come in at ground level, and the only downstairs toilet is in the laundry. From there, one flight of timber-tread stairs with a marine-ply balustrade takes you up to two carpeted bedrooms, both with built-in robes. The king main bedroom has its own ensuite and a balcony with lovely views of the Noosa River winding through the Noosa Sound waterways. The twin bedroom looks out over greenery and uses the main bathroom. Both upstairs bathrooms have a frameless shower and a toilet. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The Quamby Place shops and restaurants are a short walk away, and so are Noosa Main Beach and Hastings Street.
